i understand. but that's sort of why i designed it this way. he's gave them such a defined look that when i think of btbam's typical merch, this is the style that comes to mind.

in my defense, what i had originally shown them, did not have the eye, or the wings, or the circles. i was experimenting with motion graphics and took some stills from something i created in after effects, but he felt it was a bit empty, and suggested that we add some elements and mentioned there were some lyrics about owls on the new record, so i put an owl eye, some owl wings, and some circles around it and that's what came of it. not to mention the colorway. wasn't my pick. i feel like all of the elements that make it feel like a kaufman shirt were kind of a result of it being for a band that he has branded so heavily.

but again, i get it. it looks similar to his work and was obviously inspired by his work. not ashamed to admit that.

Yeah, I thought this was Sam's work from the thumbnail. I feel like you're stepping on his toes with this one. His style for a client he frequently works for.
