Tournament Of Death vs. Gorefest

First submission to Mintees after discovering this amazing site after purchasing Finley's incredible "Threads Not Dead" resource. My name's Lars. I design shirts and apparel for some pretty violent subcultures within professional wrestling and MMA.

This design was for an annual tournament held in Oberhausen, Germany featuring death match wrestlers from the US, Europe and Japan. Two color on black. Did really well. Sold out actually. Adding this to the pool to get some feedback/critiques. Thanks for looking.

Who? This was for an International death match tournament in Germany. A company called WXW. Where? Oberhausen, Germany. What. Eh. Basically that covers it :)

We are actually printing some stuff for Matt Cross Mdogg 20 (WWE Tough Enough participant this year).

That's RAD! Matt is a good friend of mine. I did a shirt for him almost ten years ago. It was one of my first printing disasters! The back of the shirt was suppose to say "The Innovator Of Aerial Insanity". Spell check never caught "Arial" because of the font. Some two hundred shirts paid [by me] to be shipped back and fixed. Those are the kind of lessons you can only learn from experience...and the kind that you'll only make once.

Jeez! That is a disaster indeed. I used to wrestle and had worked on the same shows as him. Super nice guy, and an amazing wrestler.

Really? Where are you out of? I used to too. I worked for about three years on the East Coast under the gimmick HALO! Crazy! Yeah, Matt is an incredible person. Great taste in music too, lol. He turned me on to a few of my favorite bands.

Hamilton Ontario Canada (1 hour from Toronto if your not familiar) my name was Spike Hammar. No real gimmick, it was all about the bumps. If you youtube Spike Hammar there is some vids on there somewhere. Me and my buddy do commentary for an indy fed called Alpha 1 Wrestling, so we stoll stay close tot he mat game.
