sure. i would go with a prehistoric battle scene.Dunno why but it remind me of the saber tooth tiger. i mean you could add a rocky background, and maybe some vegetation as a border for the entire scene, maybe some lianas. above the rocks from the ground i would make a beautiful sky with some flying beasts.
or you could ad more skeleton tigers in the back preparing to attack. or maybe some Homo sapiens attacking the lion.
but i would go with my first idea. something like this one i did a long time agoo for AfaA http://www.corpseclothing.com/merchandise-annotations-of-an-autopsy-emptiness---yellow-ink-t-shirt.html?zone=zone2

in terms of technicality this is beautiful. would like to see something filling the negative space in front of this fellas mouth though.

yeh that's a good idea man, I like the idea of rock formations and some flying creatures I may re-visit this if no one picks it up. I quite like the simplicity though so we shall see, I don't want to clutter it up and for the skeleton to get lost in the background

yeah, i know what you mean, but if you pay attention and make the background scene darker so the skeleton will pop from the rest of the details it should be ok. after how you nailed the lion, i trust you can make the rest to look good too:)
