Help for making halftones
Posted October 13th, 2009 by oscarface
Hi, I need some help to improve my designs, I want to start to use halftones... how can I do that?
Does it first have to be made in photoshop and then it's a live trace live paint action in illustrator?
Thanks!
By the way, check my website... :)

Well if you drew it in photoshop at full scale, you wouldn't have to run it into vectors.
Or you could run a live trace, or Cocoapotrace.

Yeah, probably live trace and playing with the settings.

Or effect/sketch/halftone pattern.
-Tip if you select the effects from the appearance panel/FX menu and not the top effects tab its more editable for some reason.
(I don't use it much but I saw it explained on adobe tv somewhere.)
I have know idea the reason for why half the things are the way they are in adobe brand products.
Or you can make your own dot pattern with just a tiny ass circle and fiddling with the blend tool.
