I'm currently working on this design and could need some help. Which ine of the three do you like best? I'm still notnhappy with the bottom right corner :( I'm preferring the one in the middle though. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

I like the design, though if you remove the element in the bottom right had corner you lose nothing from the design. Having it does nothing to strengthen the overall design but go with the first one if you like it in there. good work overall.

I entered the 2013 Vans Warped Tour poster design contest with these 2 bad boys!
I really enjoyed working on this although I wish I found out about the contest sooner :/ I only worked on it for a few afternoons. I would have done so much more to it.

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, I first did it without the element but somehow I think it supports the overall style and fits the look of the hood. After looking at it for another day I still like the one in the middle best. Ahy would you prefer the first one? Thanks again. You're all a great help.

If I were having someone make a poster for my tour, I would want the brand name to be more noticeable. Having it warped on the balloon is really taking focus off of what the actual poster is for. Also, not sure if you were doing this on purpose or not, but having the pants unbuttoned and a hand in the pocket is making it seem like someone is going to jerk off on you and it was the best day because of that haha

Yikesss! hahahahaha I didn't even think about the jerking off thing. Well that sucks :/ LOL

My original concept featured him in a general warped tour setting with the tents and a much larger stage behind him but at the rate I was working and the limited amount of time I had (cause of school and work) I knew I wouldn't finish if I got into that. So Instead I came up with this concept which is a complete twist and something no one else that entered really experimented with, which was coming up with a warped tour environment that was completely conceptual/unrealistic.

Also, the pants are unbuttoned because they don't fit. I wanted to come up with a visual metaphor for someone older wanting to feel like a kid again. So I approached that by having my character wear clothes that were too small for him. I suppose I didn't approach it in the most successful way, but if I had more time I would have made a lot more revisions to this. If anything it bettered my illustration skills in the end though. If I don't win I'll probably revise my character and place him in a new environment and make some posters for my store
