Sometimes I hate being in Europe.

Have a line nearly ready to go illustration wise and sorting out technicalities now.

Does anyone use Gildan Soft? It seems virtually identical to the AA2001 range. Except it's 75% cheaper.

So if you do a line of 50 tops, you can either pay ~£60 for Gildan or £232 for AA...

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

As long as they are the new Gildans they are good, the new ones should have tear away, the old ones without tear away have terrible shrinkage problems.

The new Gildans are some pretty good quality shirts, plus it's cheaper, i would go with that. Although you can never go wrong with the AA.

My band just ordered a bunch on the AA 2001's and they are amazing. Im personally not a fan of the gildans.

Personally the Gildans always seem like budget shirts in comparison plus they fit a lot smaller than most other blanks I know of.

    Argument of the century.

Could also look into Canvas, Next Level, Alstyle, since those fit somewhere between Gildan 6401 and American Apparel 2001. The tear away tags are nice if you can get the new shirts with them in it if you plan to relabel. I would say most customers, especially in UK would not really know the difference between the two. I feel that most UK brands print on thicker shirts than AA

Thanks guys, I just took the plunge and went straight for the AA's.

No need to be worried about quality now.

^ smart. If you can afford it AA is the way to go. I liked the Anvil 980s but even they weren't as solid as the AAs

Is the quality gap that big?

A lot of people seem to love gildan and the new soft style range is so much better. We printed a whole bunch on the old style and hated working with it. The new one is a dream to print on AND I enjoy wearing my own version each order :)
