Didn't watch the trailer, but saw the episode last night. They really get you with those cold opens man. I don't think there's a TV show in history that uses the cold open better than Breaking Bad.

I think it has been great, although sometimes it seems like they are cramming way too much shit in the episodes. Maybe i'm just bitter it's ending this season. Oh well. Great show. Always.

Potential spoilers below? But probably not...
I don't feel like it's crammed at all - it only seems natural that the pace would pick up substantially as Walt's tenacity and desperation heightens more and more. Also - Hank is now in a stronger position than ever since his promotion to tighten his net on Walt's operation. Both are scrambling for something and want immediate results.

That sucks to hear. I haven't watched any of the new episodes yet. Was a fan of the previous seasons though. I did kinda feel like they should have ended the whole series with that insane climax at the end of season 4.

Yeah I would have been OK with it ending with 4. 5 has it's moments, but there isn't the intense dragging and building like in 4. It's like it's just broadcasting where the season's headed. Nothing is lingering for me. But all in all, glad I finally took the time to watch 'em all before S5 started up. It's been fun.

I get where youre coming from, comparing the build up of S4 to S5, but I disagree that its any less intense. I think its just less obvious. You kinda knew where things were heading in S4. As in, you knew Fring was the enemy to Walt, and you knew it would end with one of them dead. Season 5 is just a minefield of possibilities. Three characters feel like they have a genuine chance of either killing or being killed by Walt. I find the way they have built up Walts ego and arrogance to be excruciatingly intense, and I cant believe just how much I want him dead by the end of this. Its especially powerful when you rewatch older seasons.
I prefer S4 so far for sure, but im thoroughly wrapped up into the finale. Never mourned the death of a fictional mass murderer like I did at the end of the last episode either haha.

I really liked the episode before this "finale" one, and the twist for me was how everyone reacted to what happened, I certainly wasn't expecting everyone (well Jesse mainly) to be "walking on glass" or on his toes, I expected a lot of anger and retaliation.
But the calm demeanor did get to me by the end of "Gliding Over All." I am looking forward to next summer, indeed!
I'm going back to the start of some episodes, as I've just recalled that S5 opener with Walt in the diner buying a gun. Mmmmmm, the wait.

same here. I watched the 8 episodes over the last three days, during e4 I was thinking "if I wasn't such a fan and if I hadn't seen any of the seasons before, I'd turn off now". I was really bored. and during 6 or 7 I came to the conclusion, that the writers were building WW up to be this asshole, so it'll be easier to kill him off/end the series next season.
RE episode 1, first scene at Denny's - is that supposed to be somewhere in the next season (remember 52)?

The Denny's scene totally has to be in the second half. I'm convinced that Walt bought the gun that Scarface used, too.
Hopefully in the second half of this season, it's Walt vs. the DEA. Bad ass shit.
I can't be Walt vs. the DEA, he has cancer and there'd be no reason to protect himself if he'll die of cancer anyway. It'll be Walt coming back to protect Jessie from the goons who wanted to buy the methylamine. He said the "two best cooks" so when Walt leaves they'll have to get Jessie to cook for them because no one will want their 70% pure shit when they've had a taste of the 99% pure blue sky.

Just finished watching it all, I agree. It was moving real slow and didn't have all that excitement from previous seasons.

I couldn't either, until Season 2. Season 1 is where all the characters are introduced. Trust, it's an amazing show!

I doubt it. I know they did Mad Men for people with Dish but theres no way they would stream these every week.
