Hi, some of you might remember a long time ago I asked for some critique, opinions on a logo for a clothing line, well, the day has come where I really need to know some opinions other then my friends. I'll be launching this year (Soon I hope), I don't really have that many funds so I will start selling only on tshirt.

Here are some pictures of the little hype, and stuff I've released, of course the design I'm planning on printing first. (Sorry for all the "I, I, I", gotta stop talking about my self haha)

*UPDATE*

I reworked the package, and some other stuff. Between college, football and freelancing it's been hard to keep working on Rotten Apples, but everything's on the final stage.

I'm relesing two shirts (printed on American Apparel), screenprinted posters, stickers and pins.

Still haven't figured out the shipping costs to US and how secure they are, so I'm releasing first in México and once I figure that out, I'll release to US and international shipping.

Any advice's appreciated

I like the feel of it. I dont have much advice because im pretty new myself. Keep it up though i like the direction your going with it.
  • dominantdinosaur

i like where this is going ^_^
  • BCHC

    The shirt looks really nice.
  • DOOOM

    I like it!
  • Craig Robson

i like the look of the shirts, make sure you have your target market in mind when you do the product shots and when ordering sizes. not sure on that box or the shirt that you have mocked up (colors seem a bit contrasty, i think its that purple linework, try a dark blue?)
but seems like a good direction.
  • Sushilove

don't start with just one t-shirt.

Yeh personally I wouldn't buy it but then again i'm probably not your target market. It looks nice though and i like the message behind it.
  • TheUTee

I love that shirt. are you going to use that top hat design for the actual sizing tag? I agree with Sushilove, have a strong 3-4 for your first release.
  • Dzul Alerion

Love the shirt design! But for the packaging, not really digging it! I mean, i think you can do better than that!
  • Yellowdog

Totally love the apple skull Zoidberg logo you've got going on.
  • JeffByNight

that packaging is gross, just use a poly mailer, its gonna go directly to the trash anyways.
  • William Henry

Agreed. It looks too low rent for the brand image you're trying to create. Either get it professionally printed, as a spray painted stencil looks cheap, or use poly mailers.
  • heat.

Tee looks nice, but yeah if you want to do some packaging, you need to find something that has a collectible value or else it'll go to garbage instantly I guess.

yep go with poly mailer, apart from that if you pitch it to the right market i think you'll do good, good luck dude

Reminds me a bit of Linty Fresh, which was dope. (Where did Eric go anyway??) You have an interesting style.

I would wait until you have more than 1 tee to launch tho. At least have 3 and some stickers or buttons or something. It's just hard to get into ONE T-SHIRT.
  • Dark Alley Apparel

I don't see this selling to a broad audience. Maybe a few sales here and there but either way I wish you the best of luck brother! It's never easy starting out. I have my own line and honestly I get most of my business printing designs for others. If you are going to screen print maybe consider that. I get a lot of business from bands that are looking to make shirts to sell.

Thank you all for your opinions! about the package that one was just a dummy test, wasn't too happy about it either, now I'm sure that it won't be our package. It's not that easy to get good prices on packaging here in México.

About the 1 tshirt start, would it be that hard to start with just one tee? I'm not really sure if I can pull off getting other 2 3 designs printed really.
  • mmm printing

Your brand reminds me of this (and your FB cover photo)

This was one of my fav childhood series so in my eye you are already a winner! Good concept, all the best!

Yea, it would be hard to start with just one tee. You only get one first impression. You're just not going to stand out by only releasing one tee.
  • All Eyes On Us Apparel

    Really really digging the feel
  • Pavel Fisher

Thanks for all the good comments and advice! I'll revisit the project once again. Would it be too cheesey to launch with a logo tee? I mean, making other one color design and a logo tee so I can have a more solid launch. I don't know why I've always hated or have a weird feel about logo shirts from a "not known brand".
  • Pavel Fisher

    Updated :)
  • Matt Borchert

That don't stop shirt is easily my favorite, nice addition!
  • Griggitee

I think pre-orders are fine as long as you give a date when they would ship.
  • Craig Robson

the color schemes seem a little out of touch to me. if your target market is younger kids then you need to have a younger feel to the brand. your color choices on the mock ups seem a little too mature for your audience.

either that or your mock ups are making them seem muddy and washed out. tone down the shadows layer.
  • Dzul Alerion

I really love the last design! For a first start, it's pretty amazing!
  • Drewa90

I love it, I see personality through your designs which is really important in the market
  • Pavel Fisher

Bump, thanks for all the love <3 :)
  • ThirstyFly

I would launch with something like 4 shirts if you can. Your shirt artwork is stronger than your branding/logo. "Rotten Apples" doesn't bring to mind square robot type for me. It brings to mind hand-drawn type and zombies and stuff like that. I like the apple in the voice box and I would make that the actual logo. I also really like your little bearded dude with the ax in hand. Best of luck!
  • miles to go

i wouldn't print many of those mailers if you haven't yet...is that the bottom image? the look like they may hold one shirt max which i guess could be ok if you sell only one shirt, but even trying to shove two in there would be a pain.
  • Pavel Fisher

I printed 100 already and they actually hold up two XL shirts really well.
  • thefERs

so, wheres your shop then? Where can i have a look at the Actual shirts? I would actually go with the Skull Apple (kinda looks a bit like mine) and a nice and small handrawn rotten Apple type. Your Type now seems somewhat out of Place and not really integrated... Try something like this instead http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/189923

I guess it would suit your custom audience much better.
  • Pavel Fisher

The store is going live once I have the actual shirts in my hands, I'm working on the little details to give everyone a better experience
  • thefERs

great! Looking forward to the next update.
