So I'm planning to do interviews with the artist I collaborate with and I was wondering what are the questions you guys would really want to be asked? Like other that the standard 'how did you get into the industry' 'who are your favourite designers' etc.

Any help would be awesome :)

Ask this silly question directly to the artist you want to collaborate with, you would get the super-exact answer from him/her.

    Erm.

ask about anything but process, average day and what inspires you.

I find when doing interviews its the little personal stories that set good interviews apart from the mundane. Like when did you realize you wanted to do this?, Was there ever a time you wanted to give up?, etc.... Instead of asking what inspires them maybe ask them to recall a time when they were truly inspired and how that felt... Ask questions that can't be answered with a simple yes or no.... Ask things that you would like to know.. Sorry for rambling hope this helps.

Just talk to them as people and not as artists. I think it will be more fun and come off less predictable. You already know they are good artists...find out if they are interesting people too.

You should ask them 'What sort of questions would you really like to be asked?'

Yeah this kinda' goes without saying really but I wanted to come to the table with some pre-written and original questions as well as asking them what they'd like to talk about. I just thought I'd find out from you guys what you'd like to be asked to see if it's the same thing I'd like to be asked. :)
