What's your system for keeping your email under control?

Right now I have three accounts;
-A gmail account I use for most everything, logins, give to friends/family etc
-A throwaway gmail account I don't check, to give to people likely to send me spam and junk
-& A work e-mail under my own domain that I don't use to fill out any forms to avoid any sort of spam or newslettering, only e-mails to and from clients and colleagues
The first account has gotten hectic, and my inbox is filled up daily with newsletters/updates from various social sites I use with it. Does anyone have a better system or ideas to keep this shit under control?
