Name and shame?

People steal your art all the time. Alter it a little and use it for their own purposes. It happens regularly to us bloggers too. But usually by scraper sites which is annoying but quite easy to deal with. I contacted a blogger, well known here for both his blog and his t-shirt stores, to reduce the use of my post to an excerpt and a few other conditions if he wanted to keep the post on his blog. He removed the post a short while ago but without apology or explanation. So what do you think? Name and shame or lesson learned?
