That foot looks like its floating. It sits pretty light and unnatural the way its above the skull. The hand doesn't really seem to be gripping the skull its holding to much as well, although I could easily be wrong on that one. She has some small face features that need tweaking, her nose is pretty gigantic wide and the ear is pretty big and high up. Some of the background elements have thicker lines that the forground (almost every skull/some parts of her body) and make the background and foreground clash.

Hey thanks for the comment. most of these things I'm aware of and still planning to work on like the foreground background issue and the floating feeling; I justed wanted to post it already anyway :p. Thanks for the heads-up on the hand, the nose and the ear tho, didn't actually see that but it's something I will definitely try out and work on! Thanks ;)

You really need to take a step back and take a look at your work, and compare it to the rest of the people posting here. I don't know if you're just giving design a try for fun or you're actually considering it as a career possibility, but the harsh reality is that you're not good at it. Not yet at least, I'd suggest taking your time with each drawing you make, study artists you like, pick your concepts apart before putting them in paper, draw everyday. Live tracing and mocking a 5 minute pencil drawing doesn't make it a t shirt design. Keep working and smoke a joint and you'll get better with time, probably later than sooner but keep at it. Just don't post everything you make on here.

Best advice I've ever gotten. Thank you. I love to draw. I know I'm good at drawing but I also know that I pick up a pencil maybe once a month. You're completely right about needing to open my eyes a bit more. I'm not making art here, I'm just posting doodles. I see that now. Imma spark a jay and start practicing with line-work and put more than 15 minutes into a sketch. The truth is I'm in a hurry to advance my drawing skills but I haven't taken a single class in my entire life.
Not sure if this is Attack Attack's style, but when I'm done I'll be pitching it to them. Almost done sketching, just have to really work on the poppies. I think I might wind up re-drawing half of them because i want to take my time and make this one awesome.

take a look at some google images of skulls and re-do some of the bits, the nose in particular could do with some perspective. the little septum in the middle goes back inside the nose.
as a rule i always think "if its pretty much just a skull it has to be incredible"
right now i dont think attack attack would take it as is. reference a real skull a little closer to begin with.
Did this last month for a show in St. Louis... 2'x4' ink on wood panel... Been trying to get some use out of this fountain brush pen.. using some fabercastell pit pens too on this. couple detail shots.

Fantastic. Hauntingly beautiful line-work. Your sense of texture and form done with hatch/feather lines is always done so well. Thanks for posting!

Awful picture I know, but these are two personal pieces I just got done. I wanted to work on hand coloring but only decided to color one of them.

Thanks! Just ink for the line work and colored pencil for the rest. I'm not confident enough to start using marker yet haha

I keep practicing. Still have a lot to learn. Digitally inking and more traditional dot inking.
