Photo of something I'm working on. This is not scanned in and is made out of actual cut out magazine and newspaper. Still need to complete the shadows and highlights.

That's looking nice, no idea why that hasn't been done before.
Saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie (it was really good by the way, go see it!) So I wanted to draw a guy with a top hat and arrived at this haha.
Instead of a pocket watch he wears clocks in his ears, I wanted to over exaggerate the stretched ear sagging, maybe i over did it though. [Sorry for the Phone picture quality, I'm out of town]
The anchor tattoo is in blue ink but you can tell in the picture :/ Also, I shaded his ear way too dark (thats where i started shading first) but here it is. my last drawing inspired me to draw another old figure. An old sailor.
Die cut sticker design for Savor The Chill, an up-and-coming vegan ice cream truck that specializes in small-batch ice cream made from organic, locally available ingredients. (Donations for the start-up can be made here: http://www.indiegogo.com/Savor-The-Chill )
The first one is a small ink drawing I did for a friend battling brain cancer. The second is a sketch for a painting that I'm planning for my father-in-law who happens to be an avid hunter.

I dont know i think our others were closer, other than the smoking. Its just for myself anyways, practicing faces and linework. I wasn't trying to make them similar

Andrew, love that piece. If its just an experiment and not going to anything, you got nothing to lose coloring it! You can always scan in the linework high res, and if you hate the coloring just make a print of the scan later. The only way you can keep pushing yourself is to take risks.
Jason, that table is mindfuck insane.

Yeah, but i meant on mintees. And you are right.
Newman used to do stuff like this all the time (newspaper collages with B&W ink, I mean). But definitely looking sweet, cody!

Are these on cloth? Looks like a little fraying on the corner maybe, I'd absolutely love a patch of this!

how big is it?!
I always photocopy stuff at like 50% it's size a few times and practice my coloring that way before I work on a final colored piece.
maybe that would ease your worries about coloring it :]
Andrew Haines said about 1 year ago
I was thinking that, but I second guess my coloring SO much on PS that I'd rather just dive in haha
