I was wondering if you guys knew what was going on with Arkaik right about now. I made an order a couple weeks ago, and another a week ago. I also was supposed to receive a free 1-inch bracelet from them about a month ago. Haven't gotten any of them. At first I thought I was being impatient, but then I went on their Facebook and saw posts from a number of other customers who were supposed to receive their orders almost a month ago and never did. I thought that maybe they were just held up on their promise to ship out on September 10th, but they haven't even bothered to respond to any of the customers on their Facebook. I'd really like to know what's going on with them, if anybody has any intel. The way I see it they either cut and run, or they have shit customer service.

they suck balls period. what do you expect from a company who posts a fuckign product shot on the hour every hour and then has a fucking new code every damn day. they are the biggest pieces of shits ever.

get 100% off your order by using the code "notgettingyourshitbrah" for the next 10 years siqqqq http://www.facebook.com/ArkaikClothing?sk=wall&filter=1
  • TheUTee

I was never a fan of arkaik. more reasons why
  • skaymus

I've never been a big fan of them either, but I always jump at the chance to get American Apparel threads for $10. So when I saw the 50% off I figured I may as well order them. I figured with all the publicity they get they should at least be a decent company. I'm moderately fucking pissed though.

Even if I used that code, they'd still steal my shipping fee. Feelsbadbro.
  • Kyle Crawford

publicity? you mean buying facebook likes, spending all their money giving bands money for backdrops and tour buses and tents and whatever else and all that other bullshit and having a massive warped tour debt, so they disguise it as having an awesome sale every day so they can cover their ass because they are a massive failure of a brand, but kids seem to think they do well because their gay ass fucking logo is 1 inch on a few tour posters, GETTTTOUTTTAAAAHHEREEEE

PRECISELY THAT PUBLICITY. I have the unfortunate curse of thinking the best of people on the internet. Chat Roulette taught me better than this.
  • skaymus

But really, most of what I see of them is on IATT. So I just assumed legitimacy I guess. I was a fool.
  • Matt Borchert

It is very surprising to see this happen given the fan base they have and the amount of people they seem to have going after them through their banks.

If you have multiple banks coming after you for basically fraud you dig yourself a damn deep hole that will not end pretty. Too bad really.

  • DanielAndHisArt

I have a really strong opinion on one of the "members" of Arkaik but it would literally be pages long on here to tell the story of why.

    Maybe someday.
  • mainTARAtain

Wow so I'm not the only one who thinks they bought Facebook fans.... There is no way they have 100,000 on facebook with that kind of customer service...
  • sharksinyermouth

They are based out of here in Phoenix. A favorite among the local washed up scene sluts/band dudes.
Horrid designs, and everyone seems to have a "sponsorship" up here.

Sucks brah. Make sure you let us know if you don't get your "DOWN TO CUDDLE" wristband. Maybe paypal can get you your money back.
  • EricAbstruse

Their entire site is down. Luckily I've never purchased anything from them and never planned to (except for maybe Matt Gentle's rhino design).

I sure do hope Paypal gives me my money back, I could totally use that money to die my hair pink and get zebra print skinny jeans.

The website looks up to me. I wish I hadn't made my purchase, I'm just a sucker for anything American Apparel under $20. It was my downfall, and now I'm out of pizza money.
  • EricAbstruse

Oh, just kidding. It's not working for me on Firefox.

I think I've bought 5 Electric Zombie shirts in the last year, plus a polo, and a pair of jeans(which got canceled because it ran out). I love the shit out of your sales, Kyle. I'll forever be an EZ fan.

The sites up on Chrome. They doubled their prices for crewnecks ($35) and cardigans ($45), but lowered most of their shirts...to $10-$15?

There's Arkaik Enterprises now too I hear. The thing I don't get is how they have so many "employees." Are they getting actual salary or being paid in free t shirts?

I can't speak forntheir shipping service but Jordan is a friend of mine in real life. We run our brands in totally different ways and for a dude that's 20, he is trying to capitalize on the younger market and has done well. I'm guessing with all of the tour sponsorships which he said he doesn't want to do again, maybe they over spent and do sales to try and get cash to reprint things but keep them in stock on the site even if it's out which would explain the terrible turnaround for shipments. I know they switched to shopify and hated it. He is a young dude trying to work the hustle and regardless of your stance on him, he has done a good job of getting the brand out there. I don't sponsor any bands for reasons Kyle has gone on in depth about but I run my line how I want and he is still figuring out how to get the machine running smoothly. The amount of sales they get is pretty crazy.

A voice of reason. How rare. I'm chalking it up to growing pains, sure, and I know they're doing everything they can to keep business running smoothly. It's inevitable, but of course they're going to get crucified for it. Especially here on Mintees where some of the squeakier wheels can be especially... less than mature and sympathetic human beings.
I own two Arkaik shirts. They're great designs with excellent quality, and they arrived quite quickly. I'm sure they'll overcome this bump in the road.

I just wish they were wise enough to try and 'capitalize on the younger market' by doing something innovative with substance.

I have no opinion on the company and what they are doing other than the dudes who were on warped tour were cool to me. But to your point...I dont think people care about substance when they're buying graphic t-shirts.

I do believe that certain people search for substance when buying graphic tees; take MTG for example. I buy their graphic tees because they actually mean something; It's not just plain ol' fads. BUT, everyone is right I guess, that's what the kids want, it's just not what I respect in a brand so my opinion is obscured. But whatever, I don't even care and I'm sure as hell not going to argue over it, haha. I'm out.
