Posted May 6th, 2011 by Throatpunch
Hey Mintees,
just letting everyone know about the new line that dropped about an hour ago. New direction than what it used to be. Any questions, advice, comments on it would be awesome. Thanks for looking!

I noticed that your "About" has some grammatical errors here and there, which make some things not clear. I still don't know "The Original Meaning" after reading it too, although it seems to have potential. :)
Keep it up!

Only thing- I can't stand when companies include "clothing" in designs.

Thank you! and they should be pretty big when you click the image for a larger view, if that doesn't do it then right click "view image" to view a really big image.
I'll definitely at least shape them into the same shape, I can see that looking much nicer.
"The Original Meaning" was a phrase that I coined from having some actual substance/meaning on the products. The direction of the brand is sort of getting back to the history of life here in hawaii, which is something I feel has alot more substance than a shark on a surfboard, even though I love Ben Lande's design.
Thanks Craig, Doom, Sirb, Worm, Peter, and Gaunty!

Not sure if its just me but I'm getting a bug with the rollovers.
Its showing a white box around everything and I can see the before/after rollovers.

Hey thank you Luis! Unfortunately I have no idea how to change the website :/ I could contact the guy who designed it but I don't feel like bothering him at the moment.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? for me, with a 22" monitor, the product shots take up most of my screen when you click the image. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you for the feedback though nigel!

The images don't display correctly because you're either using IE or an older version of firefox.
I see what you mean about the website. To me, it seemed to make sense to have a site that links to all those places. Plus I'd rather have "diamondheadclothing.com" link to somewhere other than say a facebook page or a tumblr page. Appreciate the feedback though man, makes me want to integrate the store and the blog in the future.

You should really fix the images though. No matter what browser someone is using, there is no reason why mouse overs and borders on images should be there. I did my first mouse overs seven years ago and never had those problems. Not everyone is going to have the latest release of their browser. I also feel like you could decrease the size of the header image a bit. There really shouldn't be any reason for someone to have to scroll down on that homepage. It makes it look more like a splash page than anything else. Scrolling down just to be able to click links is kind of a waste. The header image should also link back to the homepage, that way you can get rid of the home link in the nav altogether. All of those problems are really distracting and make the site look low budget. The shirts are pretty good, I just feel that site is holding you back.

Definitely see the point you're making about the mouse overs as well as the header image, will have my friend look into that asap!
