    same in chrome
  • GRINDESIGN

Thanks guys!i forward these problems to the crafter of the website!
  • A.Merkison

Just click the middle of the eye and it advances in Chrome. With that said, the glossy button look isn't fitting of your style, and really throws off the whole balance of the portfolio. Everything is all grungy and messy, and then you have these glossy covers over the thumbnails. Doesn't really make sense.

Your logo disappears when a lightbox opens.

chrome is not technically considered a priority in web development. it's barely been released much less as a stable browser, for usability though yeah it's fast but sites should not be verified by this browser as it still has much to undergo with web frameworks.
  • The Mothman

Looks great. Works fine for me. And there are some awesome designs in there that I haven't seen of yours yet.

Ohhhh but that twitter link in there is definitely not yours haha.
  • GRINDESIGN

haha yeah, i set up a twitter in these days:)
    Thanks dude!
  • jeff

I think the crease in the background should be removed on content pages also. It's a little distracting

What? That doesn't even make sense, yes it should be taken in consideration. Chrome and Safari use webkit which contributes to a good % of viewers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers

chrome doesn't accept HTML5 and it doesn't process the css as other browsers like safari or even internet explorer do. Yeah it has a substantial amount of users not to be ignored and it is very fast (i use it myself) but as far as web standards it has a bit more development to undergo
  • jonkruse

did you notice how big of a file that bg image is?

    1544.22 KB
  • A.Merkison

Not to nit-pick, and I know you aren't native to an English speaking country, but I'd seriously considering getting someone to proof read all your info. It comes off as unprofessional. I kinda see the issue 1 of 2 ways: either bring the site up in your native tongue and have an English option(which would make the mistakes fall more forgivable for someone who didn't realize you weren't English before hand) or have it proof read and fixed.

Yes it does support HTML5, I don't know why you are saying it does not. Chrome uses webkit to render websites, just like safari - with some minor differences, if you can get things to work nicely in safari your site will look similar in chrome. It also follows the majority of the web standards. So I don't know why you are saying that it is not a priority and that it requires development.

lol it's right there in the link you sent me,

"14. The HTML5 database API isn't supported in Google Chrome

The Google Chrome team plans to support the HTML5 database API, as well as the other APIs that WebKit supports, including offline and workers, in a future release."
  • Lmerrill

I like the design of the site, but I'd lose the splash page, even though it does look really cool.
  • Tony A

Yup, get rid of the splash page. Very impressive portfolio !
  • Mr.Naso

    Nice!
  • kayas

woah this is awesome, me like it.
  • GRINDESIGN

I totally did not know how big is that file...I just gave the elements (my logo, designs and the animation, everything else made by my friend,i gave the instructions!)As i said we still workin on it:)

Yeah, thats my fault, and really sloopy, I will correct it asap!
  • blakecan

You really need to optimise your images, the loading speeds are terrible.

Also, put some margin under your logo. That logo is unnecessarily flash. The small animation you're doing is very achievable using CSS animations, or even jQuery (if you want it to work in old browsers).
  • alex@graphicsover.be

amazing! Splash page is very cool!
but it seems a lot of images could use a better resolution. They seem low res. That's just a shame for such
awesomeness! I really should fix that!!
  • GRINDESIGN

yeah ,i dont really want to be ripped:(
  • Patrick

Could be my internet but it took quite awhile to load for me, both splash and main page. Other than that i dig it!
  • alex@graphicsover.be

GRINDESIGN said:yeah ,i dont really want to be ripped:(

Hmm I see… but to be honest, this makes a sloppy impression…
I understand the fear for ripping… but i my opinion I should take the risk…

for example It's because of godmachines beautiful big high res post I always go back to his blog to watch it.
Can't imagine i would do that if it was lores with jags and pixels…

just my opinion on this matter…
  • NVasion

Works perfect for me. Very impressive, the effect over the thumbnails is just a little bit weird/unfitting.
  • GRINDESIGN

Hmm...i check em out one by one and upload em in higher res:)
Yeah NVasion i will remove the glossy effect asap!
  • kyleidoscope

Love the look of the site, the textured background and the subtle pulse of the logo. I think the glass like sheen over the thumbnails isn't stylistically consistent, i'd change that
  • quakerninja

    Looks pretty badass. Nice job.
  • Artbysirb

    What's a lightbox?
    This site looks lovely, bookmarked!
