iPhone 4 (Someone just got fired from Apple)
Posted April 19th, 2010 by Peter Anderelli
Details:
Lost and consequently found in a bar in Redwood City.
Front-facing camera for video chat.
Camera Flash.
....and MORE!
Granted, there is definitely still a chance it's not real, but I suppose time will tell. Definitely whets the appetite.

Thoughts? Is this real? Etc? I'd say that the only certainty from this situation is that whoever lost that phone is facing the wrath of Jobs as we speak.

I question the legitimacy of this too. Gizmodo seem to think it's more than likely real. Looks super slick though!

The release cycle has consistently been every June/July ish for iPhones, September for iPods. I imagine they'll be sticking to that. Hold in there! Not too far off.

Saw that yesterday, but I'd say that today's pictures are a bit more telling.

Isn't verizon releasing the Iphone this year? Or sometime soon at least?
Time Without the E said about 3 years ago
At least wait until June 22nd to see if you are going to switch. Rumors are that they are releasing 2 new iphones. One for At&T and one of Verizon and all the other networks. Well see though...

That answers my question haha

Flash, and a front faced camera! (ChatRoulette app coming up?)
This thing will cost at least 600 euro over here. I will never own an iphone >:[

I literally just came back to this thread to propose that

I don't think apple would change it's rather successful marketing scheme.

ive stalked this phone the past few months as i hate my G1, i love android but having the very first android phone means having the worst phone as well.
i chat will be sweet being able to video chat with friends and family while out on the road... just not driving of course hahaha, this could breed a whole new danger above txting while driving lol
its gonna hit in june/july just like all the other iphones in the past. but i bet they start hyping it faster now that theyve been outed.

yep.

Yeah, I agree. I think the release of it alone would probably be just as buzz-worthy as this has been (if not more), but I was just throwing the idea out there haha.

Apple knows there are better ways to get hype then leaving a prototype in a bar.
either way its a nice looking phone, its a bit strange that they would ditch the curves of the iphone and give it kinda sharp corners. That would make me double think purchasing it.

"So I called around, and I now believe this is an actual unit from Apple — a unit Apple is very interested in getting back. "

gruber purports someone either stole or sold the unit and gizmodo in turn bought it from them

I like having seperate batteries, so even if I listen to my iPod till it runs out, I'll still have a phone.. That's been my main objection to the whole iphone concept since day one..
One the other hand, it looks pretty damn awesome..

then keep your old ipod and dont listen to music on your iphone?
geoff said about 3 years ago
Maybe for the body shape you could be right, but in these photos it shows there is a removable battery, which goes against everything in their lineup now.
Sam Montana said about 3 years ago
Well, everyone has been complaining about the iphone not having a front camera, a flash, removable battery.. and from the looks of it, it does have a flash and a front camera, so why not add a removable battery too?
geoff said about 3 years ago
People complained at first about the battery, but the life isn't bad and every new gen they increase battery life. Why would they decide now to make a removable battery when iPad doesn't have one, and none of the new Macbook lines have them?
Smiths Canvas said about 3 years ago
I don't see any indication for a removable battery. The information says how tightly constructed it is, and all the videos seem to show that it doesn't have a detachable battery. If there was a detachable battery the guy from Gizmodo would of definitely mentioned that in the video or in any of the article.
